Job Details

• Department: Department of Community Justice (DCJ)
• Job Type: On-Call, Non-Exempt
• Location: Juvenile Justice Complex, Portland, OR
• Schedule: Variable days and hours

Responsibilities

• Receiving food, equipment, and supplies; rotating inventory
• Delivering food and serving meals
• Operating commercial kitchen equipment
• Washing utensils, pots, pans, and maintaining sanitation
• Performing daily cleaning duties
• Supporting the operation of a large institutional kitchen and café

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of relevant food service experience
• Valid Oregon Food Handlers Card
• Ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
• Ability to push/pull 200-400 pounds
