Job summary

Wahluke School District Wahluke District-Wide - Mattawa, Washington is seeking substitutes for Food Staff Cook/Assistant positions in the Child Nutrition/Food Service department.

Starting immediately, on-call duties may include meal preparation, serving meals, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. Applicants must have a Food & Beverage Workers' Permit; a HS diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Pay is $20.95 per hour with expectations to follow safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a Food & Beverage Workers' Permit.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred for substitutes but not required.
• Must be able to read/write English and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and production sheets.
• Serve meals that meet USDA requirements for reimbursable meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of kitchen equipment.
• May supervise student helpers during service periods.
