Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - On Call Flex in Tucson, AZ. The role offers 30-40 hours per week with a varied schedule based on manager assignments and self-scheduled shifts. You’ll work irregular hours to support client needs and gain exposure to multiple sites, paving a path for advancement.

Pay rate is $19.50 per hour. This position requires reliability, transportation, and the ability to travel to different locations as needed, with a background check and possible licensing

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation and be available for last-minute shifts.
• Guard card or license preferred; 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure compliant removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
