Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, is seeking an On-Call Exercise Specialist at our Morristown, NJ fitness center. The role involves conducting fitness consultations, creating progressive programs, and guiding members in proper use of equipment to ensure a positive experience.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field (or NCCA certification) with CPR/AED and First Aid credentials, and is proficient in MS Office. A dynamic client-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in exercise science/kinesiology or related field.
• NCCA-accredited personal training certification is required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fitness consultations including movement screens, needs analyses and goal setting.
• Develop progressive fitness programming to support participant motivation and experience.
• Instruct participants on safe and effective use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
• Educate participants on health information and available fitness/wellness programs.
• Complete internal development courses via the LMS platform.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and quality of service.
