Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks an on-call Exercise Specialist for our fitness center in Lake Forest, IL. You will conduct fitness consultations, design progressive programs, and guide members through safe use of cardio, strength, and flexibility equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in exercise science or a related certification, CPR/AED and First Aid, and strong client engagement abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology or related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Knowledge of exercise testing (assessments) and prescription (program design).
• Ability to network, engage and interact with clients, guests and members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct ongoing fitness consultations, movement screens, needs analyses, and goal setting to tailor programming.
• Develop comprehensive progressive fitness programming to motivate participants.
• Instruct participants on safe use of cardio, flexibility, and strength equipment.
• Educate participants on health and wellness information and available services.
• Complete internal development courses via LMS and maintain high service quality.
