Job summary
Plus One, an Optum company, is seeking an energetic On-Call Exercise Specialist to join a premier fitness center in Chicago, IL. You will lead consultations, design progressive programs and guide safe equipment use to enhance health and wellness for participants.
The role emphasizes client engagement, continuous learning through LMS courses, and delivering top-tier service within a dynamic team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or related field, or a NCCA-accredited PT certification.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are current.
- Knowledge of exercise testing and prescription; able to operate fitness tools.
- Ability to network and engage with clients, guests and members.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness consultations including movement screens, needs analyses and goal setting.
- Develop progressive fitness programming to support and motivate participants.
- Monitor and instruct participants on safe use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
- Educate participants on health and fitness information and available programs.
- Complete internal development courses via LMS.
- Maintain high quality customer and client experience.
