ICF is seeking an On-Call Fisheries Biologist based in Richmond, CA. The role involves field sampling of water quality, phytoplankton, zooplankton, and larval fish in the upper San Francisco Estuary and inland rivers, with up to 12 hours per day and up to 40 hours per week, including occasional night and weekend shifts.

Laboratory work sorting and identifying plankton may be required, and you may deploy and retrieve weighted receivers from boats for telemetry projects.

Qualificações

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in field identification of fish species.
• Knowledge of sampling methods for fish, plankton, and water quality.
• Solid field skills for outdoor work and long boat days.

Responsabilidades

• Assist ICF biologists on shore and aboard boats with field sampling of water quality, phytoplankton, zooplankton, and larval fish.
• May perform laboratory work sorting and identifying plankton.
• Deploy and retrieve weighted receivers from boats for telemetry projects.
• Travel up to 5 days per week may be required.
