Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have CSFA credential and BLS certification.

• Demonstrated ability to act as first assistant and scrub, with on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain correct count of sponges, sharps, and instruments with circulating nurse.
• Assist in maintenance and organization of instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with circulator in planning based on patient needs and procedure.
• Demonstrate competency to assist surgeon and anticipate needs across routine to emergency procedures.
