Job summary

Katmai Government Services is seeking a part-time grounds and facilities technician to support Fort Hood ranges. You will perform grounds maintenance, assist with RETS equipment installation and maintenance, and support range operations in challenging field conditions.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances. This on-site position involves outdoor work and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent or military training.
• One year military or civilian work experience.
• Must obtain and maintain required security access/background checks.
• Ability to multitask and handle diverse maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds and facilities maintenance as required.
• Assist with fabrication, preventive and corrective maintenance on targetry equipment.
• Participate in installation, repair and maintenance of RETS equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of range operations and layout, including buried wires and RETS equipment.
• Under supervision, perform field-test tasks such as identifying and connecting power cables.
• Follow procedures to ensure quality, safety and security standards.
• Operate computer equipment and provide range communications as needed.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
