Job summary

KATMAI is seeking a part-time Grounds and Maintenance Technician to support operations at Fort Hood ranges. The role includes helping with grounds upkeep, assisting with equipment maintenance, and performing field tasks under supervision in challenging outdoor environments.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience; the position requires reliability, safety awareness, and willingness to work 20–28 hours per week, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year military or civilian work experience.
• Must obtain and maintain security access and/or background checks.

Responsibilities

• Level ground using tools and assist with maintenance on range equipment.
• Work with team on installation, repair and maintenance of RETS equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of range operations and quality/safety procedures.
• Perform field-test tasks such as identifying and connecting power cables.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
