Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an On-call, Part-Time Field Archaeologist to support field operations across several offices (Louisville, KY; Lexington, KY; Kansas City, MO; Ballwin, MO; Jefferson City, MO). The role involves pedestrian surveys, shovel tests, and excavation supervision under a Field Director.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology, historic preservation, or related field.
Archaeological field school completed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and physically able to conduct fieldwork in all weather.

Responsibilities

Assist with field projects during all phases of archaeological testing (Phase I/II).
Document findings with detailed notes and field forms.
Assist in artifact identification and documentation of deposits.
Work as part of a team and adhere to conduct policies.
Travel 100% and support safety policies.
