WSP USA is seeking an On-call, Part-Time Field Archaeologist to support our Heritage & Cultural Resources Earth & Environment Team in Louisville and Lexington, KY, with additional offices in Kansas City, Ballwin, and Jefferson City. This on-call role offers project-based hours and potential for longer-term work and possible full-time employment based on workload.

The position requires an undergraduate degree in anthropology or archaeology, field school, strong communication skills, and 100%

Formación

• Undergraduate degree in anthropology, archaeology, historic preservation, or related field.
• Field school experience in archaeology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to travel and work in all weather conditions; physically capable of fieldwork.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with field projects during all phases of archaeological testing (Phase I & II).
• Perform pedestrian reconnaissance, shovel tests, and test unit excavation under supervision.
• Document findings with detailed notes, soil descriptions, and field forms.
• Assist in artifact identification and documentation of deposits.
• Work as part of a team and adhere to safety and conduct policies.
• Travel as required by projects and business needs.
