Job summary

Arcadis is seeking entry-level Archaeologists to support environmental planning projects in Ohio and surrounding states. This on-call, part-time-as-needed position involves fieldwork from site identification to data recovery, shovel testing, pedestrian surveys, excavation, and site documentation.

The role requires 90-100% field work with occasional remote work at project sites; travel to various locations is expected. A GPS knowledge and ability to carry supplies up to 40 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in anthropology/archaeology.
• 1-2 years of experience in cultural resources management.
• Demonstrated field experience within Ohio or surrounding states.
• Working knowledge of GPS systems and the collection of field data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological fieldwork on multiple projects.
• Work with Arcadis cultural resources team.
• Travel to project sites, including overnight travel.
• Operate GPS and document sites; monitor field conditions.
