CorneaGen LLC in Houston is seeking an Eye Recovery Technician for an on-call, in-person role. The position requires travel to medical facilities in the Houston area and involves tissue recovery duties performed under aseptic technique, plus on-call coverage.

On offer is a base hourly rate of $16.25 plus $4.00 per hour for each on-call hour, with potential additional flat-rate payments based on recoveries. The company provides on-the-job training, benefits, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Ability to collaborate with others on a team with strong attention to detail and professional communication.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality.
• Ability to solve practical problems and follow SOPs.
• Ability to provide at least 2 shifts of availability within a 7-day schedule.
• Reliable transportation to recovery sites, laboratory and shipping facilities.

Responsabilités

• Surgically procure donated ocular tissue from cadavers using aseptic technique.
• Draw blood from donors for serologic testing.
• Obtain medical records from hospitals.
• Document procured tissue in real time via software.
• Participate in on-call schedule for ocular tissue recoveries.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor information.
• Manage shipping methods and inventory of instruments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
