Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring temporary/on-call Servers at Rohr's in our campus Hospitality department. The Server role is at the heart of the dining experience, delivering prompt, courteous service.

As a Server, you’ll greet guests, explain offerings, take orders, and process payments while maintaining high service standards and professional behavior in a busy campus setting.

Qualifications

• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision
• Positive, respectful, excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and enthusiastically
• Clearly describe and explain our diverse food and beverage offerings
• Accurately create guest orders and communicate them precisely to the kitchen and bar
• Serve food and beverages according to our high standards, ensuring continuous service throughout the meal
• Present guest checks and secure payment efficiently
• Carry food and beverage items using trays whenever possible, moving between dining rooms, the kitchen, and the bar
• Perform necessary accounting processes to meet server banking standards
