Moonlight Studios Chicago is seeking a dependable freelance Event Porter to support events at our venue. Event Porters help maintain a clean, safe, organized and guest-ready environment throughout event setup, guest hours and breakdown.

This is an on-call position with shifts scheduled according to the venue's event calendar. Evening, weekend, late-night, and occasional holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous porter, custodial, housekeeping or event-venue experience preferred.
• Dependable and punctual with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and presentation.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.
• Reliable transportation to Moonlight Studios Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of guest areas, restrooms, halls, entrances and back-of-house spaces.
• Complete restroom checks and restock supplies.
• Monitor and empty trash and recycling receptacles.
• Ensure proper disposal per venue procedures and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning needs.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and sanitize surfaces.
• Assist with pre-event setup and post-event cleanup.
• Reset furniture and return venue areas to standard condition.
• Maintain porter stations and track cleaning supplies.
• Adhere to safety procedures and use of cleaning products.
• Provide courteous guest assistance.
• Complete opening, event and closing checklists.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
