Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking an on-call Emergency Wage Rates Equipment Operator at the Palmyra Maintenance Facility to perform snow removal and winter maintenance on Missouri roads. The position pays hourly rates that vary by season, with a $1 per hour night differential for work between 7 p.m.

and 7 a.m. Responsibilities include operating plow vehicles, spreading ice control materials, basic vehicle and site maintenance, and complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status.
• Registration in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen
• At least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic.
• Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
