Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Specialist - On Call Emergency Response (Inc. Nights & Weekends). This role performs spill response, confined space entry, packaging, labeling, loading/unloading, transporting, and sampling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

All duties must comply with state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. Requires 40-hour HAZWOPER, valid driver's license, and ability to obtain a Class A/B CDL with Hazardous endorsement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science discipline preferred
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License with Hazardous (H) endorsement

Responsabilités

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading/unloading, and coordinating transportation.
• Maintain a professional image to clients: answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing/potential problems.
• Comply and enforce all compliance, health, safety, and procedures in accordance with VES-TS policies.
• Become familiar with all DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations required in submitting paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste.
