Job summary

Explorer Pipeline, Inc. in Houston seeks a maintenance technician responsible for maintaining, repairing, testing, adjusting, and assisting in installation and removal of electrical, mechanical, control, and measurement equipment at field locations.

The role requires working Monday through Friday with on-call rotation and occasional weekend/holiday coverage to ensure safe pipeline operations and regulatory compliance across Houston facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience as operations/maintenance technician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complies with DOT and OSHA health, safety and environmental rules and uses PPE.
• Tests and inspects equipment with mechanical and electronic testing tools.
• Maintains equipment by making adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Records operating data and analyzes equipment performance.
• Maintains spare parts inventory and tools and vehicle.
• Installs non-contract equipment additions and modifications.
• Acts as inspector on third‑party construction and maintenance projects.
• Assists with on‑the‑job training of new technicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintains pipeline right‑of‑way and facilities appearance and upkeep.
