State of South Carolina seeks a skilled Electrician to perform maintenance and repair tasks at McEntire Joint National Guard Base. You will install wiring, test circuits, and ensure safe operations across facilities, with attention to fire alarms, security lighting, and building systems.

The role requires heavy manual labor, ability to work in extreme weather, occasional overnight travel, and on-call duties. A high school diploma and extensive trades experience are required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and extensive trades experience directly related to the area of employment.
• Knowledge of safety practices relevant to electrical work.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and perform heavy manual labor.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.

Responsabilités

• Performs maintenance and repair tasks in electrical and energy plant operations at McEntire JNGB.
• Assists other trades and conducts inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Plans layout and installation of wiring per codes and specifications.
• Connects wiring to breakers/transformers and tests circuits for safety and compatibility.
• Responds to on-call and emergency situations; works under extreme weather conditions.
