Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Driver for St. Ann Adult Day Service. The role involves safely transporting program participants daily, adhering to routing instructions, and ensuring passenger safety during boarding, travel, and disembarking.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, at least 21 years old, and 2+ years of driving experience, with DOT Medical Certificate and First Aid/CPR within 30 days of hire. On-call/PRN schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
• Ability to use basic computer systems and email.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports participants to and from the facility daily as requested.
• Follow routing instructions and report delays promptly.
• Assist passengers boarding and exiting; ensure safety with belts and wheelchair locks.
• Monitor passengers for changes and report observations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; document issues.
• Maintain vehicle logs and mileage records; submit reports.
• Notify supervisor of incidents and coordinate with emergency services.
• Adhere to Workplace Safety and Infectious Disease controls.
