Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher in the Palo Alto area. You will assist with activities, communicate with families, and help maintain safe classrooms across centers or age groups.

This role offers flexibility and exposure to various age groups in a dynamic educational environment. As part of Bright Horizons, you contribute to nurturing young learners and have the chance to impact children’s daily lives while working in-person in Palo Alto, CA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 12 ECE units completed preferred; Infant/Toddler course if applicable.
• 1 year of experience in child care/daycare/preschool preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s in early education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe, clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Provide classroom support across centers or age groups as needed.
