Charles Wright Academy Beginning School seeks an Assistant Teacher for ages 30 months to 5 years. The role emphasizes play-based, project-led learning aligned with our mission, with collaboration across the division and ongoing professional growth.

The position supports social-emotional development, partners with families, and ensures a joyful, active learning environment. B2 years of teaching experience preferred; associate degree in ECE preferred.

Formación

• Candidates should hold or be completing an associate degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in early childhood settings.
• Preferred candidates hold or are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
• Familiarity with Reggio Emilia or constructivist approaches and Project Based Learning is a plus.
• Commitment to experiential education, diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with the Teacher and Associate Teacher to facilitate rich, play-based pedagogy.
• Be prepared to step into the Lead Teacher role when needed.
• Support cross-domain learning with a broad range of materials.
• Document children’s growth using classroom documentation processes.
• Communicate effectively with families and collaborate across the division.
• Attend scheduled faculty and community meetings and uphold safety protocols.
