Job summary

Child Development Schools and its local affiliates in Charlotte, NC are seeking an Assistant Teacher for early childhood classrooms. You will assist the lead teacher, support safe and engaging activities, and help families feel connected to their child’s learning journey.

The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and adaptability in a nurturing environment that serves children from six weeks to twelve years with a strong focus on safety and development.

Qualifications

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and pass a background check.
  • Early Childhood Education coursework or experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a licensed child care center is beneficial.
  • Strong empathy and understanding of children's needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Your Role as an Assistant Teacher

We're looking for enthusiastic assistant teachers, like YOU, who are committed to creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Requirements

Hold a High School Diploma or its equivalent and are able to pass a background check. Education in Early Childhood Education and experience within a licensed center is a big plus!

Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances.

Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.
