Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking an On-Call Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocate to deliver crisis counseling and advocacy to patients identified as DV/SA victims. The role emphasizes supportive advocacy, safety planning, and connections to community resources.

Responsibilities include after-hours coverage (evenings, weekends, holidays) under the FVRM Manager, with attention to discretion, empathy, and collaboration with health care teams and law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Human service degree; MSW preferred.
• Two years of experience with violence victims is desirable.
• MD Driver's license is preferable but not required if travel is possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality crisis counseling and advocacy to DV/SA victims.
• Intervene during evenings, weekends and holidays with safety planning and resource linkage.
• Offer supportive advocacy and warm hand-offs to other providers.
