Job summary

ICF is seeking an On-Call Mitigation Grant Coordinator to support FEMA 404/406 programs across the United States. This position may travel to client sites, field locations, and disaster recovery operations for multi-week assignments.

You will coordinate grant applications, conduct benefit-cost analyses, work with environmental teams, and ensure compliance with NEPA and FEMA guidelines while remaining flexible to project needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of in-depth experience with FEMA 406 and 404 mitigation policies.
• Ability and willingness to travel for project work with short notice.
• Ability and willingness to deploy with evening, weekend, and multi-week assignments away from home.
• Valid United States driver’s license and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop mitigation opportunities with client counterparts.
• Assist subrecipients with 404/HMGP and 406 grant applications; provide guidance on required documents.
• Develop concise scope of work, quarterly reports, templates and checklists.
• Ensure budgets align with FEMA guidelines for eligible activities.
• Coordinate environmental reviews with ICF’s Environmental Team.
• Support Benefit Cost Analysis efforts with documentation.
• Review mitigation project applications for accuracy before FEMA submittal.
• Monitor grant applications to keep projects on track with timelines.
• Present trainings to staff and stakeholders.
