Job summary

The Arc Mid Hudson invites applicants for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at the Wiccopee House in Putnam Valley, NY. The DSP will support individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings.

Required: high school diploma or GED; NYS driver license and basic computer knowledge. Training includes Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration; on-call hours. Starting pay ranges hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is desired.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• An acceptable NYS driver?s license and basic computer knowledge are a must.
• Training includes Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
• Assist with daily living activities, behavior support, and community outings.
