Job summary

Cadient, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Ridge in Carmel, NY. The DSP provides support and skills training to residents with developmental disabilities in a residential setting and in the community.

Ridge residents enjoy staff interaction and community activities. A high school diploma or GED is desired, with NYS driver’s license and basic computer knowledge required. Training includes First Aid/CPR and medication administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must.
• New hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment.
• Training will include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Assist residents in community activities and daily living tasks.
• Collaborate with staff to achieve person's goals.
