Job summary

Cadient, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Ridge in Carmel, NY. The DSP provides support and skills training to residents with developmental disabilities in a residential setting and in the community.

Ridge residents enjoy staff interaction and community activities. A high school diploma or GED is desired, with NYS driver’s license and basic computer knowledge required. Training includes First Aid/CPR and medication administration.

Direct Support Professional - Ridge - On Call - As Needed

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

Ridge is located in the center of Carmel in walking distance to town. The nine men that live at Ridge enjoy occasionally walking to town for events and to visit local restaurants. The men at Ridge have a great sense of humor and enjoy joking with staff while working along-side them to achieve their goals.

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: hours weekly - On Call - As Needed

Starting Salary: $19.74- $21.72per hour plus additional differentials as applicable
