Job summary

MRCI in Mankato, MN is seeking a Day Service Specialist – On Call to support individuals with developmental disabilities through community-based, person-centered day services. This on-call role provides coverage for absences and travels within the service area using a company vehicle to transport clients.

You will plan and implement curriculum aligned with DHS Day Support Services standards, coordinate community activities, communicate with clients and partners, and document progress using

Qualifications

• High School diploma/equivalent or Associate’s degree + 2 years related experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree in related field + 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (ability to drive up to 1.5 hours).

Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum aligned with DHS Day Support Standards.
• Coordinate individualized, community-based activities.
• Maintain relationships with community partners to promote integration.
• Communicate with clients, teams, funders, and community members.
• Monitor operations for efficiency and improvements.
• Travel within service areas to cover shifts and transport clients.
• Provide direct support including personal care and use of adaptive equipment.
• Use technology for timely communication and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
