Job summary

MRCI in Mankato, MN is seeking a Community Based-Activities Specialist, DSP to design and implement community-based, person-centered day service plans for individuals with disabilities. You will engage with clients, families and teams to promote independence and meaningful community participation.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, customer service experience, and a valid driver's license. You will provide direct support, document progress, transport clients, and collaborate

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Compassion and sensitivity to individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based office software.
• Must live within 15 miles of the service area (Mankato).
• Valid driver’s license and space for overnight parking of company vehicle.
• Home workspace with reliable internet and privacy.
• Must pass a Department of Human Services background study.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate individualized community activities to promote independence and social interaction.
• Provide direct support to clients, including personal care, medication administration, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Document daily progress and services provided.
• Transport clients using a company-provided vehicle.

Salary Range: $18.20 To $21.84 Annually

Location: Must live within 15 miles of Mankato

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (some flexibility)

Starting Pay: $18.20-21.84/hour (commensurate with experience)
