Job summary

The City of Portland is seeking on-call concessions staff to support events at Merrill Auditorium, Fitzpatrick Stadium and other venues. You will handle food and beverages, set up and teardown, and assist guests with a focus on customer service. A valid Class C driver’s license is not required but helpful; multiple shifts available.

Compensation starts at $18.00/hour with an additional $2.00/hour stipend for Maine Celtics events. Applications accepted until filled; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with others and independently.
• Prior experience handling money.
• Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy loads for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Set up before and tear down after events.
• Prepare, cook, take orders, serve and distribute food and beverages.
• Clean before, during and after events.
• Manage crowd and assist guests with questions.
• Maintain excellent customer service and communication.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
