Job summary

The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a substitute Transporter to meet the transportation needs of tribal members and the public, including persons with disabilities. Responsibilities include keeping vehicles clean, maintaining records, following routes and schedules, and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests and background checks.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for Ponca Tribe of Nebraska members and the public, including persons with disabilities.
• Operate vehicles, wheelchair lifts/securements, and scheduling software.
• Assist passengers to and from the vehicle and maintain clean, presentable vehicles.
• Maintain monthly records and reports and follow a planned route and schedule.
• Work with staff to meet transportation needs and ensure safety.
