Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or a degree in chemical/biological science with eligible certification.
• MLS or categorical certification OR completion/certification from an accredited MLS program.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation (IERF or equivalent).
• For certain specialty disciplines, a bachelor’s plus one year of experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work at Banner Churchill Laboratory in Fallon, NV, performing general bench testing.
• Serve as a department resource and ensure compliance with CLIA ’88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
• May collect, receive, and process biological specimens into the laboratory.
• Adhere to established policies and professional standards and maintain competency in phlebotomy where applicable.
