Qualifications

• Master of Divinity or equivalent; one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.
• At least 5 years of pastoral care experience, especially crisis and end-of-life situations.
• Ordained or endorsed by a recognized religious tradition.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care for patients, families, and staff during referrals and codes.
• Represent Spiritual Care Services in the hospital and system.
• Coordinate involvement of local clergy and community agencies.
• Provide spiritual/emotional support to staff; promote morale.
• Participate in department activities, document assessments and plans.
• Participate in worship opportunities for patients and staff.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and understanding of growth and development.
• Maintain professional affiliation and pursue ongoing education.
