Qualifications

• Master of Divinity required.
• At least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Experience in pastoral care, crisis, end-of-life situations preferred.
• Ordination or endorsement by a recognized religious tradition.

Responsibilities

• Provides pastoral care for patients and families during referrals and codes.
• Represents Spiritual Care Services in hospital and system-wide activities.
• Coordinates participation of local clergy and religious communities in education and spiritual support services.
• Offers spiritual/emotional support to staff and promotes morale and excellence in service.
• Serves on committees and care teams with accurate documentation of plans and outcomes.
• Participates in worship opportunities for patients, families and staff.
• Demonstrates appropriate care for patients across age groups and diverse backgrounds.
• Maintains professional affiliations and pursues ongoing professional growth.
