Job summary

Compass Group USA's Chartwells Higher Ed unit is hiring on-call Catering Attendants for the University of North Carolina–Asheville campus. You will deliver and serve food at scheduled functions under the catering captain, set up and maintain service areas, and ensure clean, safe event execution.

On-call shifts vary by business needs and may include driving a catering delivery truck. Requirements include prior catering experience preferred and the ability to obtain a valid food handler's permit

Qualifications

• Prior catering experience is preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and serves food at functions under the catering captain.
• Sets up and serves at functions; cleans event area during and after events.
• Returns leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner.
• Maintains knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
• Ensures guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times.
