Clermont County, Ohio, seeks part-time on-call Caseworkers (Social Service Worker 3) for the Department of Job and Family Services, Division of Children's Protective Services. The role involves emergency on-call coverage, weekend and holiday hours, with non-exempt status and a 1-year probationary period.

Responsibilities include receiving CPS complaint calls during non-business hours, initiating investigations, maintaining logs, and coordinating with law enforcement and court personnel.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Option 2–5 above require a job-related bachelor's degree within five years of employment.
• Military education/ACE may substitute for certain coursework per policy.

Responsibilities

• Receive adult protective services calls during non-business hours; screen information and refer or counsel as needed.
• Initiate and conduct investigations of abuse, neglect, and dependency; assess risk and determine need for continued protection.
• Maintain logs and enter cases into SACWIS; prepare investigation reports and testify in court.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and interagency coordination as required.
• Collaborate with others on short or long-term projects and address safety/risk concerns.

Education

Bachelor's degree in human services-related studies

Bachelor's degree in any field with at least two years in human services occupation

Associate's degree in human services-related studies

Sixty semester credit hours or equivalent toward a degree in human services

Five years employed in a human services-related occupation
