Job summary

Friedman Real Estate seeks a Commercial Maintenance Technician to operate, inspect, and repair building systems across a Minneapolis property portfolio. You’ll handle mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems, respond to tenant requests, and participate in on-call rotations to address emergencies.

You will use testing gear and hand/power tools, read blueprints, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining detailed maintenance records and logs.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Respond to tenant service requests and work orders.
• Maintain safety procedures and building codes during maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire/life safety.
• Inspect systems and document findings in logs and reports.
• Assist with life safety procedures and after-hours emergencies.
