Qualifications

• Six months related experience in hospitality or service industry
• TABC and ServeSafe required

Responsibilities

• Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
• Mix ingredients to prepare and garnish cocktails and other beverages
• Serve snacks or food items to customers as requested
• Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
• Help plan and organize the menu and operations of the Cocktail Lounge or Bar
• Ensure immediate response to guest comments and concerns
• Collect money for all orders taken
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Order or requisition liquors and supplies
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
• Escort customers to their tables
• Present menus to patrons and answer questions about items
• Describe and recommend wines
• Check patrons' identification to ensure age requirements
• Inform customers of daily specials
• Write patrons' food orders on slips or enter into systems
• Take orders from patrons for food or beverage
• Maintain communication with all departments and upper management
