Job summary

Huntington DoubleTree by Hilton in Huntington, WV is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to support events and banquets on-site. You will set up tables, take and serve orders, assist with seating, and ensure high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction throughout events.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean service areas, coordinating with team members, and using knowledge of local attractions to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in banquet operations or hospitality preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (e.g., TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Set up assigned tables and venues for events/banquets.
• Retrieve and serve beverages and food orders to guest tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment.
• Greet guests, assist with seating, and respond to guest needs.
• Monitor guest relations and ensure high-quality service during events.
• Be familiar with hotel services and local attractions to answer guest questions.
• On-call shifts with advanced notice for event dates.
