Job summary

Fiddlers Creek Golf Club, part of Troon, is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to deliver exceptional hospitality in our event spaces.

You will prepare function sites, serve food and beverages, and set tables according to event orders while maintaining cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Candidates must be 18+ with a HS diploma or GED and have 1–3 months banquet experience or training; reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months banquet setting experience or training preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Prepares function site and ensures meeting room is set per specifications.
• Serves food and beverage items to guests per established guidelines.
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and service areas according to Banquet Event Orders.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Maintains a clean banquet or catering area, including kitchens and equipment.
• Contributes to inventory control and waste monitoring in the banquet area.
• Delivers excellent customer service by anticipating guest needs.
• Follows safe work practices in performance of duties.
• Fulfills other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities of the On-Call Banquet Server:

• Prepares function site andassures meeting room is set according to specifications.
• Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Helps to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.
• Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
• Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the On-Call Banquet Server:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months of banquet setting and service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.

Other Qualifications:

• Demonstrates good energy and motivation.
• Knowledge of banquet set up.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
