Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston, seeks an On-Call Banquet Server to deliver exceptional service and culinary knowledge for events. You will communicate guest orders, assist in event setup, and ensure smooth operation of banquets while upholding Four Seasons standards.

• Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and decor for each function according to banquet event order.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to concerns promptly; ensure guest satisfaction.
• Breakdown and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.

The Opportunity:

Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston is currently looking for an On-Call Banquet Server!

Basic Purpose:

Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods.

Essential function of the job:

• Offer pre‑determined menu selections to each table; maintain knowledge of each selection’s, origin, taste, and preparation method; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the Banquet Manager or kitchen; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Assist in set‑up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Breakdown, clean and set‑up of tables, buffets, and food stations.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
• Experience:Six to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience is required.
• Skills and Abilities:Requires a working knowledge of the restaurant aspect of Four Seasons services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel.
• Working knowledge is generally learned on‑the‑ job.
• Requires knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system. Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
