Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ Omaha Marriott Downtown in downtown Omaha seeks an On-call Banquet Bartender to deliver friendly, timely beverage service and help create memorable guest experiences during events. You will set up bars, stock supplies, take orders, handle cash, and ensure compliance with liquor laws.

The role requires 1–2 years of bartending, TIPS certification, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bartending experience.
• TIPS certification required.
• Ability to obtain government license or certificate.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and POS usage.
• Stand for long periods and work a varied schedule.
• Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible service.

Responsibilities

• Set up the bar daily with supplies per BEOs and check par levels.
• Stock garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain quality.
• Greet guests, take orders, and prepare drinks using standard recipes.
• Update par sheets during shifts for accuracy.
• Maintain bar and guest area cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Handle cash, verify charges, and balance money.
• Lock/store beverages, food, and equipment items.
• Follow liquor laws and assist security with disorderly guests.
