Job summary

The Boca Raton is seeking a Banquet Barback (On-Call) to support busy banquet services and beverage stations. The role requires a friendly, hospitable demeanor in a fast-paced hotel environment and prior barback or related hospitality experience.

Responsibilities include stocking glassware, garnishes, and supplies; assisting bartenders; and maintaining cleanliness in a health-compliant bar area. On-call shifts may vary, with a focus on guest satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills to ensure proper delivery amounts and portion sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to handle glassware, knives, bottles, and stock items.
• Basic knowledge of English to understand inquiries and give instructions.
• Ability to read product labeling for safe application of products.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 300 lbs.
• Ability to work in temperature ranges from normal to refrigerated.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Some hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Request, confirm and polish glassware for each bar and coordinate with bartenders.
• Cut, slice and peel garnishes; pour juices per projected business needs.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and stock, transport kegs and replace items as needed.
• Keep bar areas clean and sanitized to health code standards.
• Scoops ice, replenishes ice containers, and maintains organization of work areas.
• Boxes and saves empty liquor bottles for returns and requisitions.
• Attend mandatory meetings and perform general cleaning tasks.
• Follow liquor regulations to ensure compliance with laws.
