Job summary

Spring Independent School District in Spring, Texas, is seeking a Security Camera Technician to maintain district low-voltage systems, including fire alarms, intrusion, and A/V equipment, with after-hours on‑call duties.

The technician will supervise the Low Voltage team, install/repair fire alarm equipment, maintain records, and train district staff. A high school diploma or GED, electronics training, TX driver license, and ability to obtain a Fire Alarm License are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Formal training in basic electronics
• Valid Texas Driver's license
• 5 years' job related experience
• Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) - must be able to obtain
• 5+ years of progressively more responsible experience in the security system, Fire Alarms, and Communications industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees audio/visual and related duties to keep facilities in good repair.
• Prepare tasks to ensure safe, efficient completion of jobs.
• Purchase parts and materials as needed for jobs.
• Supervise the daily operations of the Low Voltage team.
• Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm equipment safely and securely.
• Oversee installation of new fire alarm systems in district facilities.
• Maintain records for district systems and related documentation.
• Provide training to district personnel.
• Respond to emergency call-outs 7 days a week, 24 hours.
• Possible night or varying shifts.
