Job summary

Phase2 Technology is seeking a part-time Ancillary ASL Interpreter. The role requires providing simultaneous interpreting services for deaf and/or hard of hearing individuals in academic settings, ensuring effective communication and comprehension.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Interpreter Generalist license, and at least three years of interpreting experience. This position involves interpreting for various events, including classroom settings and campus-wide functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in interpreting at the postsecondary level.
• Possession of a valid Interpreter Generalist license issued by the state of Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Interprets/transliterates for the Deaf campus community and visitors.
• Performs independent needs assessment regarding interpreting methods.
• Maintains confidentiality following the RID Code of Ethics.
