Pinyon Environmental is seeking on-call Archaeological Technicians to join our cultural resources team based in Phoenix, Arizona. You will support scheduled and future fieldwork across the Southwest, including Class III pedestrian surveys and construction monitoring.

Candidates should be prepared for extended field deployments, travel, and independent work in remote environments. A Bachelor’s degree and field school are required, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field and archaeological field school.
• Ability to conduct pedestrian inventory up to 8 miles per day carrying 40 pounds of gear.
• Safely perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions.
• Knowledge of Southwest and Colorado Plateau resources.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to travel and work independently or collaboratively.
• Applicants will be required to pass a background check.

Responsabilités

• Support Class III pedestrian surveys and construction monitoring.
• Document sites and aid in laboratory processing and curation.
• Assist in technical report preparation and site forms.
• Work across Arizona and neighboring states with extended field deployments.
• Travel as needed and operate in remote field settings.
