Job summary

Environmental Science Associates, Inc. (ESA) is seeking on-call archaeological field technicians to support projects in Southern California.

Candidates should be familiar with active construction sites, DPR forms, and regional archaeological materials; travel to multiple ESA office locations will be required and mileage reimbursements provided. • Bachelor's degree or higher in archaeology/anthropology/paleontology/geology or related field.
• Familiar with app-based field data collection and GIS mapping.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities for archaeological/paleontological resources.
• Communicate with construction crews and project personnel.
• Write and maintain daily survey/monitoring logs and cataloging records; use data collection tools and GIS.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
