Job summary

Harbor Group Management Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold property standards, perform routine upkeep, and handle resident service requests. You will support HVAC and plumbing tasks, inspect units, and help ensure safety and efficiency across the community.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, reliability for on-call shifts, and a customer-focused approach to interacting with residents while following company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting or appliance repair).
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling required.
• Experience in multifamily maintenance highly desired.
• Willingness for emergency on-call work including evenings/weekends.
• Valid driver's license for on-site vehicle use.
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident interaction.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and instructions.
• Any other certifications as required by local/state laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance across systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances).
• Respond to resident service requests promptly using work orders.
• Conduct preventative maintenance for safe operation.
• Prepare vacant units: inspections, punch lists, contractors coordination, repairs, quality checks.
• Maintain amenities and common spaces: cleaning, trash, painting.
• Manage tools, inventory, and notify supervisors for reorder needs.
• Support safety policies and OSHA training; report incidents.
• Inspect work by vendors to ensure quality and scope.
